Christmas card designed for Tate by Hayley Warnham, a postgraduate student at the Royal College of Art’s School of Communication.
For the third consecutive year Tate ran a competition in collaboration with the RCA School of Communication to select the best designs with a fresh approach to the theme of Christmas. Building on the success of last year’s cards the range has been increased with 10 new designs selected. The competition was judged by illustrator and co-founder of LE GUN, Bill Bragg, illustrator and printmaker, Mark Hearld, and Tate Merchandise Director Rosey Blackmore.
Hayley Warnham works across a variety of digital formats. One of last year’s winners, she was again successful and two of Hayley’s designs were chosen to be produced this year. She says
“'Santa' and 'Rudolph' capture two symbolic figures of Christmas that have been deconstructed into their simplest forms through their definable colours and shapes”
