This card was designed by RCA student of animation Thomas Harnett O'Meara. For the fourth consecutive year Tate has run a competition in collaboration with the Royal College of Art’s School of Communication to select the best designs with a fresh approach to the theme of Christmas. Thomas’s fresh design was one of the winning applicants accepted.
The design of this card is based upon Thomas’s graduation film. Thomas says:
’The Christmas card depicts Tim on a present run. He is the main character from my graduation film 'I'm Good With Plants'. A short synopsis of the film: Tim lives in a greenhouse suspended by a crane above the city. He has two wishes in life; to steal the office plant next to the water cooler at work, and meet Francesca the sex phone worker he calls each day from a phone box in the street.’
Inside reads ‘Yuletide’s Greetings’. Comes in a pack of 6 cards with silver envelopes.
Each card 16 cm x 16 cm.
