This is a mini print of O’Keeffe’s Blue and Green Music, which was originally painted in 1921, using oil on canvas.
Inspired by the European modernist movement and Kandinsky’s theories on how visual art could be pure patterns of form, colour and line as opposed to representing the material world, O’Keeffe incorporated this in many of her paintings.
Georgia O’Keeffe is best known for her paintings of magnified flowers and was heavily inspired by the natural world. After her debut in 1916, she became recognised as a leading artist and her legacy still lives on as a pioneering twentieth-century American artist.
25 x 35.6 cm. Paper size includes a white border around the image. Printed on matt art paper 250gsm.
