Cashmere and wool monochrome scarf designed by Maria Hatling, exclusively for Tate.
Maria Hatling is a London based illustrator and scarf designer with a passion for colour, texture and repeat pattern. This hand drawn illustration of the gallery was by sketched on site inside the turbine hall as Hatling fell in love with the graphic light and shadows created by the long narrow windows at both ends of the hall. The colour and texture of the scarf were inspired by the tide of the river Thames, as its cycle reveals incredible textures and colours on the riverbank outside the gallery.
