Alexandr Rodchenko took an experimental approach to photography, using unusual camera angles, playing with perspective and exploring abstract compositions.
In his photograph Shukov Tower , 1927, Rodchenko makes use the tower’s structure to demonstrate these ideas.
The Radical Eye exhibition at Tate Modern displays Sir Elton John’s private photography collection. These rare photographic prints are taken from the classic Modernist period of the 1920s through to the 1950s and include such famous artists as Alexandr Rodchenko and Man Ray.
