This print of Oriental Poppies is exclusive to Tate as part of the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition at Tate Modern. It is a beautiful example of her enlarged flower paintings, originally painted in 1927 using oil on canvas.
This piece has an almost photographic style to it when compared to her other early flower paintings, which had a more abstract style, likely influenced by modernist photography.
Georgia O'Keeffe is best known for her enlarged flower paintings, although she painted a variety of subjects inspired by nature, such as shells, trees, animal skulls and landscapes.
Printed on 300gsm fine art paper. 30 x 40 cm including a white border around the image.
