Limited edition fine bone china tea set designed exclusivly for Tate by Yinka Shonibare.
Yinka Shonibare has used a combination of historical text and imagery from the Tate archive to form this unique fine bone china tea set. The artist has merged these influences, specific to his research at the Tate to create a distinctive tea set for the Tate shop. Using several different collage patterns which are based on Yinka's intricate collage drawings, he has used a variety of media including Dutch wax African fabric, Financial Times newspaper cuttings and gold leaf to mirror the layered and diverse histories found within the Tate archive.
Hand wash only, not suitable for dishwasher or microwave.
