This charming mug has been created by illustrator Mark Hearld for Tate to celebrate the major exhibition British Folk Art at Tate Britain.
Mark Hearld is renowned for his distinctive artwork which often features a beautifully pared- back colour palette and images drawn from nature. He is passionate about folk art, and has created a range for Tate Shop inspired by James William of Wrexham’s patchwork quilt, a piece that he has known and loved for many years. With its menagerie of creatures and lovely hues, it strikes a chord with Mark’s own work.
9 cm high x 8.5 cm in diameter. Made from English cream bone china. Made and decorated in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.
