Howard Hodgkin is an English painter, printmaker and collector. His use of large, vibrant strokes of bright colours in is work has led to him often being associated with Pop Art. Hodgkin uses painting to capture emotions and events from his past. In the 1970’s Hodgkin’s work shifted to a more complex use of patterning, using these new techniques to create a variety of moods.
