Description
Red and black tote bag featuring an image of Nina Vatolina’s Russian Revolution poster Fascism – The Most Evil Enemy of Women. Everyone to the Struggle Against Fascism!. Exclusive to Tate, it has been specially created to celebrate our Red Star Over Russiaexhibition at Tate Modern.

Nina Vatolina (1915 – 2002) was an artist and graphic designer (and Viktor Deni’s pupil and daughter-in-law) . Fascism – The Most Evil Enemy of Women. Everyone to the Struggle Against Fascism! was created five weeks after the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, with an initial print run of 75,000 copies. The woman featured in the poster is actually Nina’s neighbour, who had already seen two of her sons leave for the battlefield.

Red Star over Russia: A Revolution in Visual Culture 1905 – 55 at Tate Modern marks the centenary of the October Revolution with a remarkable display of the collection of the late graphic designer David King (1943 - 2016), offering a visual history of Russia and the Soviet Union.

Hand wash only.
