This beautifully presented postcard book has been produced exclusively for Tate to accompany the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibition at Tate Modern. It contains 24 postcards of artwork from the exhibition, including O’Keeffe’s famous flower and nature themed paintings, her studies of landscapes and architecture, colourful abstract pieces and a photograph of O’Keeffe taken by her husband Alfred Stieglitz in 1920.
Georgia O’Keeffe was born in Wisconsin, USA in 1887 and became an instant success when she made her artistic debut in 1916 in New York. She has since become an icon of American twentieth-century art, famous for her paintings of magnified flowers, animal skulls and the New Mexico landscape she made her home in later life.
