Beautiful oak framed print of Turner's 'Norham Castle, Sunrise' with white mount. The original artwork was painted in c1840 with oil paint on canvas.
Turner first saw the ruined castle at Norham which borders Scotland, in 1797 and later painted many watercolours showing this scene. Pure colours rather than contrasting tones express the blazing light in this painting, as the historic building and landscape merge.
Printed on Purcell Ultrasmooth Fine Art 300gsm. Overall size 630mm x 486mm.
