Described as a "synthesis of modern art chosen from the “classics” of the 20th century Italy, mainly from the 1910-30 period when successive manifestations of that great urge for something new was then fermenting", Modern Italian Art presented approximately 100 works of both painting and sculpture selected by the Milanese Society Amici di Brera including pieces by Boccioni, Severini, Morandi, Marini, Manzu and De Chririco.
