The School of Life have created this wonderful set of notebooks in honour of The Bauhaus (or, ‘the house of construction’).
The Bauhaus was founded in Weimar, shortly after the end of World War One. Its founder Walter Gropius wanted to remove ‘the class barriers’ between art and craft. Gropius recognised that industrial production would dominate, and his aim was to guide high quality design for mass production consumer goods: chairs, lamps etc.
After being relocated and shut down by the Nazi party in 1933, the influence of their ideas was actually increased. Primarily celebrated for its contribution to architecture, the artists Joseph Albers, Johannes Itten and Paul Klee were all on the teaching staff.
This product includes a set of three paper-bound notebooks each one with either plain, grid or lined paper.
Each notebook has 64 pages
Dimensions: 125x178mm with yellow contrast stitch.
