Featuring 154 works by Paul Nash this comprehensive survey a year after the artist's death was considered both a challenge and an opportunity for the revaluation of an outstanding figure of British Art in the century. The exhibition ran for almost seven weeks in 1948 having opened with a private view featuring a concert evening event attended by Her Majesty the Queen.
