This postcard book is an extension of Sara Fanelli's book 'Sometimes I Think, Sometimes I Am' and has been designed to encourage people to connect in a more personal way. After all, what could be more thoughtful than sending a friend a beautiful postcard?
Each postcard has different illustration and a different quotation on the reverse.
Artist and illustrator Sara Fanelli is one of the world's foremost illustrators, renowned for her experimental techniques. She is the winner of the 2008 Design & Art Direction award for outstanding achievement in illustration and book design for the Tate published book 'Sometimes I think Sometimes I am'. She was one of the youngest designers to join the AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) and she is the first woman illustrator to be elected Honorary Fellow of the Royal; Designers for Industry (RDI).
Her inspiration lies not only in the visual arts but also in literature and the theatre. Fanelli takes quotations and aphorisms that inspire her work, from Dante and Goethe to Calvino and Beckett, and places them in the context of a completely original artistic creation using a mixture of collages, typography paintings and drawings.
