Poster of David Hockney’s Peter Getting Out of Nick’s Pool 1966. Our posters feature selected works from exhibitions on a large scale. They’re Giclée printed on fine art paper to ensure a high quality reproduction.
Peter Getting Out of Nick's Pool is one of a group of swimming pool paintings that Hockney created. The white bordered square format is thought to be a nod to Polaroid photography, and the bright, flat colours emphasise a vibrant Californian lifestyle. The painting won the John Moores prize at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool in 1967, and Hockney used the money to send his parents on holiday.
Dimensions: 50 x 50 cm. Printed on 300gsm Purcell Ultrasmooth Fine Art paper in the UK.
