David Hockney’s exploration into new territories and media; ways of working in the theatre, with the camera and with commercial printing and office copying machines, whilst continuing to produce ambitious canvases commanded the attention of a wide audience. This retrospective surveyed more than a quarter of a century of Hockney’s work presenting 75 paintings, 20 drawings and 25 photographs as well as a selection of prints.
