This is a Tate exclusive mini print of Georgia O'Keeffe’s Oriental Poppies, originally produced in 1927 using oil on canvas. This piece is a beautiful example of her well known close up paintings of flowers using a rich colour palette and strong composition.
O’Keeffe was born in 1887 in Wisconsin, USA and had a long artistic career as a pioneer in twentieth-century American art. She is best known for her paintings of magnified flowers, animal skulls and New Mexico desert landscapes.
