Set of Christmas cards designed by Signe Emma and Theodoulos Polyviou, postgraduate students at the Royal College of Art’s School of Communication
A bestseller in 2014, this card was picked from a competition in collaboration with the RCA School of Communication to select the best designs for Christmas. The competition was judged by illustrator and co-founder of LE GUN, Bill Bragg, illustrator and printmaker, Mark Hearld, and Tate Merchandise Director Rosey Blackmore.
Signe Emma and Theodoulos Polyviou say regarding their design:
We have developed our design through the use of 3d modelling software. In doing this, we were given the advantage to view our compositions through mobility and constant change of viewing points aiming to achieve the most effective result possible. This process extends our understanding regarding these mediums available at the moment as "setting the stage" for creativity to be enacted. The final result is an interplay between the "physical" and the virtual.”
