item code: 17321

Mixing pop art, fashion, parody and politics this large silk scarf features a design from a square of pop artist Antonio Dias’ work ‘Note on the Unforeseen Death’.

‘Note on the Unforeseen Death’ 1964 is parody of the political situation in Brazil during the 1960s. At that time Brazil was in the early stages of a military dictatorship. Each square shows a comical graffiti-like image of nuclear clouds, soldiers or toxic gasses that juxtaposes with a realistic bloodstain on the centre of the work.

Made from 100% silk. 88 cm x 88 cm. Made in Italy.
