Landscape painter, Bryan Wynter was born 8 September 1915 in London. He studied at Westminster School of Art 1937–8 and at the Slade School 1938–40 before settling in Cornwall at Zennor, near St Ives in 1945. He at first worked figuratively but by 1956 had evolved a dynamic and more abstract style.
