Natalia Goncharova (1881-1962) was a Russian artist who blazed a trail with her experimental approach to art and design. She found acclaim early in her career and established herself as the leader of the Russian avant-garde with a major exhibition in Moscow in 1913. Her immense body of work includes costume design, avant-garde cinema and vast religious paintings.
