A friend told me it was possible to make pictures by cutting and pasting bits of paper onto pieces of card. I learned that some of the most important artists of the twentieth century used collage. I decided to try out the techique for myself and was instantly hooked. Over fifty years on and I am still making collages!
Collage is great fun. There are so many possibilities and you dont need much to get started... Some of the best collages are made from the cheapest materials- an old bus ticket, a used stamp, an empty matchbox. It's a great way to recycle!
