Following the government’s announcement of national lockdown restrictions, our galleries and shops are now closed. This is in line with current guidelines, and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, suppliers and their families.
We’ve reviewed our Covid-safety practices and have re-opened our distribution centre, so you can shop our full collection online.
If we’re made aware of any unexpected delays, we’ll contact you via email as soon as possible.
Brexit Update:
We’ve had to temporarily pause all orders to EU countries until further notice. We hope to have these up and running again as soon as possible, and we’ll keep you informed of any changes.
If you’re an EU resident and have made an order for a custom print before 8 January 2021, rest assured that it will still be on its way to you, though your order may be subject to import duty, customs charges and local taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Please note that as customs policies vary widely from country to country, we’d advise you to contact your local customs office for information, and email us at shop@tate.org.uk if we can be of further assistance.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. We’re truly grateful for your ongoing support of Tate.
If you would like to get in touch with us, please see our Contact Us page for information.
Delivery times
Due to the pandemic, National lockdown restrictions in the UK and Brexit, we’re facing some additional challenges in getting your orders to you as quickly as possible.
Our small team of Tate colleagues at our distribution centre are working hard to minimise delays, but as couriers are also experiencing increased workloads and travel disruptions, we really appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
We aim to deliver shop products within:
Custom prints
We aim to deliver custom prints within 2-4 weeks.
As each print is handmade to order they take a little longer to prepare. We’ll dispatch your order as soon as it is ready, separately from any other items.
Delivery costs
We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £50, including custom prints. Please select UK standard delivery at the checkout. Please note that this offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
Framed and canvas custom prints
As these are bulky items we need to add an additional delivery charge per print.
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Wine
Our collection of wines is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.
Tickets
Your tickets will be sent to you via email as a PDF attachment. If you’ve not received your tickets please contact our customer service team by emailing ticketing@tate.org.uk.
Membership
You will be emailed an e-membership card to use immediately. If you’ve bought a gift membership we’ll email an e-membership card to the recipient on the day their membership is due to start.
We’ll send out the full membership pack within 14 days of purchase, or you can collect your pack when you next visit any of our galleries.

- Afghanistan
- Central African Republic
- Iran
- Liberia

We also can’t deliver to PO box addresses. These are restrictions imposed by our couriers.
*Due to Brexit, we’ve had to temporarily suspend orders to all countries in the European Union until further notice. Orders to Northern Ireland will continue as usual until 31 March 2021, when we’ll receive updated guidance on the situation.*
Duties, tax and service charges
If your delivery address is not within the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties, taxes and delivery service charges, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You will need to pay any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note that customs policies vary widely from country to country and we’d advise you to contact your local customs office for further information. Please be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by custom authorities.
