Recognised the world over, Yayoi Kusama's beautiful expanses of red and white spots are iconic in their own right. Described by her as "infinity nets", they have appeared in numerous installations, both outdoors in nature and inside galleries worldwide and are said to be inspired by the hallucinations she has experienced since childhood. As she says of the spots, they are "round, soft, colorful, senseless and unknowing".
