The brightly coloured earrings are made using Nerikomi techniques, layering coloured polymer clay to create intricately patterned designs. Working in this way means that each piece is unique as the patterns shift slightly throughout the clay. This process emulates geological processes, as the artist explains: ‘The pressure applied when forming the canes mimics the shifts and changes found in slow moving geological happenings; when elements combine and compress over millions of years to form crystals and rocks filled with colour and pattern.’
The ear posts of the brightly coloured earrings are made from gold plated brass, with gold plated findings. Polymer clay is fade resistant and long lasting, if cared for well. We advise avoiding water, and storing in a box when not in wear.
Aliyah Hussain is based in West Yorkshire, where she makes playful, sculptural work for the body with a focus on line, form, and colour. She works with ceramics and various clays, applying traditional techniques to modern mediums.

Neon lights will be delivered in 2-4 weeks, as they are made in small batches and shipped separately from other items.

Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.
Food & Wine
Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, Goldfinger + Tate furniture, face coverings and pierced earrings. We cannot cover the cost of returning the items, unless we've made a mistake or they are faulty.
