Faces has been created for children of all ages, and hidden flaps and holes, and creative prompts encourage the reader to interact - this definitely isn’t a ‘sit back and listen to the story’ type book. “We wanted to show as many mediums as possible,” says David, “and to provide departure points for the child to get creative and start exploring. Our aim is to get the reader to start looking for faces everywhere and then to start to create their own with whatever objects and mediums they can find.
