Alan Davie (b. 1920) is a Scottish painter and musician. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art in the late 1930s. Davie travelled widely and is influenced by other painters, such as Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock and Joan Miro, as well as by a wide range of cultural symbols.
