Additional Information

Living Architecture is dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of world-class modern architecture and art. For Living Architecture’s most recent commission, they invited the renowned artist and Turner prize winner Grayson Perry and FAT Architecture to create ‘A House for Essex’. The house is both an artwork itself and the setting for a number of original artworks. This range of products from Living Architecture has been created with Grayson Perry, and is now available to buy from Tate.

Inspired by the life of an imaginary Essex ‘everywoman’ called Julie, this cushion cover features an intricate wheel designed by Grayson Perry. The cover is made with high quality cotton and has detailed stitching all over.

About the artist

Grayson Perry CBE RA (born 1960) is a British contemporary artist, writer and broadcaster. Winner of the Turner prize in 2003, he works in a variety of media including ceramics and tapestries, often with an autobiographical element. Parallels between Perry and William Hogarth are sometimes drawn – both explore themes of morality and social class, capturing the spirit of the age through humour and storytelling. He often appears as his alter ego, Claire, in elaborate outfits, some of which are the result of an annual competition held by Central Saint Martins for fashion students to design dresses for Claire.

Delivery & returns

Delivery times

We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:

  • UK Standard – 2-3 working days
  • UK Express – 1-2 working days
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

For framed custom prints and rugs, we aim to deliver within:

  • UK – 1-2 weeks
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

Many of our neon lights are made in small batches, delivery is estimated at 4-6 weeks worldwide. Our Goldfinger x Tate furniture collection is made to order, with a production lead time of 12-14 weeks.

Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.

If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.

For orders under £60:

UK Standard – £5 per order

UK Express – £7.50 per order

From 13 December 2024, we will be temporarily pausing shipping to the European Union and Northern Ireland, to update our details to comply with new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). We will restart shipping to the EU and NI as soon as possible, thank you for your patience.

Here’s more information on delivery.
