We worked closely with the artist to create these pyjamas, which celebrate the artist and the largest solo exhibition of her work to date, held at Tate Modern. The style of repeat pattern we created together using Zanzibar Memories is synonymous with Tanzanian textiles.
For the pyjamas themselves, we teamed up with PJoys. A purpose-led sleepwear company, their focus is on de-stigmatising conversation around mental health through ethical, sustainable and caring pyjamas. Each set even has a QR code on the label, with links to mental health resources.

The pyjamas are made from 100% organic cotton, with coconut buttons. They come presented in an organic cotton dust bag ideal for gifting and storing – the dust bag measures 36 x 26 cm.
About the artist
Lubaina Himid was born in 1954 in Zanzibar, Tanzania but moved to England shortly after her birth. A Turner-prize winning artists, her paintings, prints, drawings and installations celebrate Black creativity and the people of the African diaspora whilst challenging institutional invisibility. The year after she won the Turner prize, she was made a CBE in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to art. She is Professor of Contemporary Art at the University of Central Lancashire.

Delivery times
We aim to deliver shop products within:

European Union – 2-4 weeks
Rest of world – 2-4 weeks
Neon lights will be delivered in 2-4 weeks, as they are made in small batches and shipped separately from other items.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Please note that this is offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.

European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.

Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.
