Additional Information

Frog thinks he’s pretty artistic and that the rest of the forest could do with a little bit of inventive improvement. From painting to sculpture, to performance art and origami, Frog gets to work on beautifying everything around him... but will his friends appreciate his creativity?

The Great Paint is a brilliantly funny tale about what can happen when we forget to think of others and get carried away with our artistic endeavours. Follow Frog’s adventures as he learns that creative inspiration also lies in the friendship of others.

‘Frog is an artist and the world is his canvas – but where does his art end, and his friends begin? With his expressive and whimsical illustrations, Alex Willmore pulls us back into the beloved world of The Big Trip for a delightful forest foray into different artistic mediums. A joyful lesson in inspiration, creativity, and respect for others, The Great Paint is a must have for any budding artist.’ – Cherise Lopez-Baker, Children’s Editor, Tate

Alex Willmore is a British illustrator whose love of animals and picture books inspired him to pursue a career in illustration. Alex likes to work both digitally and traditionally in a number of different styles, but always likes the final outcome to have a real sense of fun. This is his second book for Tate Publishing, following The Big Trip, 2020.
