Barns-Graham’s abstract painting in oils is made up of white, black and grey tones, with bright rectangles of yellow punctuating the piece. Although it is an abstract composition, as with many of her other works it is likely inspired by the Cornish landscape.
This art print is 30 x 40 cm, including an artwork credit line printed under the image and a white border. It’s printed on responsibly sourced Mondi 300gsm paper by our Sussex-based printers. The paper is FSC certified and responsibly sourced.
About the artist
Wilhelmina Barns-Graham (1912–2004) was a British artist, whose work fused abstraction with representational imagery, often inspired by the dramatic Cornish landscapes and other places she visited. Born in St Andrews, Scotland, she moved to St Ives in 1940, where she became an influential figure in the group of modernist artists based in the town. From the 1960s, her work became markedly abstract, defined by strong geometric forms and a powerful dynamism. Later paintings were freer and more expressionistic.

For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
UK – 1-2 weeks
International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Please note that this is offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £3.60 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

Goldfinger + Tate furniture
As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.
Food & Wine
Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, Goldfinger + Tate furniture, face coverings and pierced earrings. We cannot cover the cost of returning the items, unless we've made a mistake or they are faulty.
