Nafkot Admasu is an inspiring and dedicated female coffee producer, who’s farm and processing station contribute to the vibrant coffee landscape of Idido, Yirgacheffe. Her journey is characterised by a deep connection to her land, commitment to quality, and a vision for empowerment.

Keep your coffee sealed in the bag and store in a cool dry place away from sunlight. Use within 3 months.

Tate Collective's Open Call invited 16-25 year olds to create artworks for our coffee labels. Each entry was inspired by Coffee by Tate's values of quality, community and gender equality. This label titled Ode to Kuna was designed by Rosie Woollard.

About our producers

Located in Idido, Nafkot Admasu’s 0.5 hectare farm and processing station sits at an elevation of 2150 metres. This unique environment serves as the backdrop for cultivating exceptional Heirloom cultivar coffee beans, known for their distinct nuanced flavours.

During the harvest season Nafkot employs 35 seasonal workers, along with a core team of 6 permanent employees, who collectively share her dedication to producing high-quality coffee. Her farming practices are rooted in tradition, as the coffee is cultivated under the shade of false banana trees, fostering a sustainable and harmonious ecosystem.

Nafkot is an active participant in the ‘Ama Commitment’ scheme, a project that provides direct tangible benefits to farmers whilst ensuring that the women in the communities are the ones most empowered. Her farming practices, commitment to quality and collaborative efforts reflect the essence of progress and sustainability in the world of coffee.

Delivery times

We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:

  • UK – 2-3 working days
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

For framed custom prints and rugs, we aim to deliver within:

  • UK – 1-2 weeks
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

Many of our neon lights are made in small batches, delivery is estimated at 4-6 weeks worldwide. Our Goldfinger x Tate furniture collection is made to order, with a production lead time of 12-14 weeks.

Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture).
