Additional Information
Clough’s painting features a bleached root structure, a wooden box or door and other debris. Though it was painted from a still life, the artist focused on the abstract qualities of the root’s texture and shape.
This art print is 40 x 30 cm, including an artwork credit line and white border. It’s printed on responsibly sourced Mondi 300gsm paper by our Sussex-based printers. The paper is FSC certified and responsibly sourced.
About the artist
Prunella Clough (1919 – 1999) was a prominent British artist, best known for her paintings. She studied at the Chelsea School of Art, and later taught there and at the Wimbledon School of Art, in addition to her full-time art practice. During WWII, she worked as a cartographer. She declined an OBE in 1968 and a CBE in 1979, and was awarded the Jerwood Prize for painting in 1999. A number of her works are held in the Tate collection, and a retrospective exhibition was exhibited at Tate Britain.

For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:

International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Please note that this is offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £3.60 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

Goldfinger + Tate furniture
As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.
Food & Wine
Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, Goldfinger + Tate furniture, face coverings and pierced earrings. We cannot cover the cost of returning the items, unless we've made a mistake or they are faulty.
