Tagua seed flower ring

Hand-carved entirely from the seed of the Tagua tree, this cream floral ring is a natural and sustainable piece of statement jewellery.

Grown in the South American rainforest, Tagua tree seeds are not only an excellent alternative to plastic, but their commercial demand also helps to prevent the deforestation of the areas they’re found in. The artisan makers of this ring, from Cerro Grande in coastal Ecuador, carve both the delicate details of the flower and the ring itself from the seed, to make an ivory coloured piece of fashion jewellery that doesn’t cost the Earth.

The ring is available in three sizes:

Small: ring size M, approx. 16.71 mm diameter, 52.5 mm circumference.

Medium: ring size O, approx. 17.53 mm diameter, 55.1 mm circumference.

Large: ring size Q, approx. 18.34 mm diameter, 57.6 mm circumference.

This ring has been chosen as part of our collection of jewellery, fashion, homeware and prints celebrating Tate Britain’s The Rossettis exhibition. It’s sourced from Just Trade, who collaborate with small Fair Trade artisan communities to provide them with a platform for their handmade jewellery and accessories, ensuring that all the makers and designers involved are paid a fair wage.
