Exclusively created for Tate Shop, the design of the mug is inspired by Philip Guston’s painting, Cup, 1972. Recognisably similar, the black mug’s thick rounded handle and cup are modelled after Guston’s, with a shorter body to give the piece a contemporary, satisfying feel.
The size of the mug is roughly 8.5 x 8.5 cm.
Each cup is hand-thrown, and so slight variations may occur from piece to piece that make each mug subtly unique. They’re safe for microwave and dishwasher use, but handwashing in a mild detergent will help your piece to last as long as possible. Try not to expose the cup to extreme changes in temperature, as although it is durable, thermal shock can cause cracking.
Atelier Jessie is the studio name of London based, Canadian designer Jessie Thavonekham. Her designs focus on quality, sustainability and functionality, whilst celebrating playfulness, colour and joy. Atelier Jessie’s motto is that life’s too short for boring things.

International – 2-4 weeks
For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
UK – 1-2 weeks
International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Please note that this is offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.

UK – £3.60 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

Goldfinger + Tate furniture
As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.
Food & Wine
Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, Goldfinger + Tate furniture, face coverings and pierced earrings. We cannot cover the cost of returning the items, unless we've made a mistake or they are faulty.
