Andy Warhol: Banana skateboard

Produced as a limited edition of 500, this high quality Canadian maple wood decorative white skateboard features Andy Warhol’s Banana, 1967 graphic produced for Velvet Underground & Nico’s debut album. The result of a collaboration between The Skateroom and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the visual arts, the skatedeck even features the ‘peel and see’ peel sticker function that Warhol conceived of for the album cover. The peel can be removed entirely, and positioned on any part of the skateboard, just like the original.

Each deck comes in a grey felt carry pouch and includes a wall mount which is easily affixed to the wall with one nail, holding the skate deck in place by two upper truck holes. Instructions are included. To prevent fading, we recommend hanging your away from direct natural light.

All decks from The Skateroom are constructed from 7-ply Canadian maple which has been sourced from sustainable forests.

Each deck measures approximately 80 x 20 cm.

The Skateroom is a project which unites art buyers, artists, galleries, museums, foundations, retailers, and non-profits around the world by using their ‘Art for Social Impact’ model. They produce high quality, decorative skatedecks adorned with works of art and donate 5% of their turnover or 25% of their profit from every sale (whichever is greater) to fund social skate projects dedicated to empowering at-risk youth around the world.
