Jokes aside, the teether blocks really do adhere to the core Bauhaus design principles: functional, appealing, and utilising innovative materials and technology, rooted in craft.
The soft, squishy natural Hevea tree rubber they’re made from means the blocks double up as baby-safe teether toys, in eye catching primary colours and tactile textures that appeal to young babies. Their single-piece crafting method means there’s no holes in them for bacteria to breed in, so you can rest assured that they’re completely safe for sore gums to gnaw on.
As they grow, the toys can be stacked into a block tower, or used to learn the names of colours and shapes. Super lightweight, they can be safely thrown or caught, and their hole-free design also means that they float in water, making for a great bath time toy.
The Bauhaus teether blocks are individually hand crafted and painted using natural pigments using a sustainable, artisan process. PVC, BPA, Phthalates and Nitrosamines free, they’re completely non-toxic, and even biodegradable at the end of their usable life. They’re created by Oli&Carol, a Barcelona-based company founded by Olimpia and Carolina, who design natural toys that are sustainably handmade, and support a variety of social projects. Their toys are certified by SGS, and comply with EN71-123 & 12 (European) and ASTM F963-17 and CPSIA (USA) safety standards, and their production centres are BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) certified.

Delivery times
We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:
UK – 2-3 working days
International – 2-4 weeks
For made-to-order items, including framed custom prints, furniture, lighting and rugs, we aim to deliver within:
UK – 1-2 weeks
International – 2-4 weeks
Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.
If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.Delivery costs
We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Please note that this is offer is valid only online. Our other delivery costs are as follows.
For orders under £60:
UK – £3.60 per order
European Union – £15 per order
Rest of world (including non-EU European countries) – £28 per order
Limited editions
Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Rugs
Rugs are dispatched directly from the Christopher Farr workshop, so they will arrive separately from any other items ordered from Tate Shop.

Goldfinger + Tate furniture
As each item of furniture is made to order, delivery takes 12-14 weeks, and will arrive separately to any other items in your Tate Shop order.
Food & Wine
Our collection of food and wine is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on wine orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
Wine: UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints, Goldfinger + Tate furniture, face coverings and pierced earrings. We cannot cover the cost of returning the items, unless we've made a mistake or they are faulty.
