Additional Information

Taking abstract architectural details from Tate Modern and Tate Britain as her starting point, South London textile designer Kangan Arora has created this organic cotton bag in block, contrast colours to make the humble tote into a truly stylish statement piece.

With a checked zip pocket inside, and popper-fastened front pockets, there’s plenty of space for books, art materials, daily essentials or your shopping. A sturdy cotton webbing handle keeps it all safely anchored.

Made from 100% certified organic cotton twill fabric, printed using authentic table hand screens and pigment dyes. The factory we’ve partnered with to manufacture the textiles used for our Kangan Arora x Tate collection is based in Faridabad, Northern India and is GOTS, OCS + OEKOTEX certified. All processes (stitching, printing, washing, finishing) happen in-house and they use rain water harvesting, water recycling and LED lights to save on power and energy. They also have solar panels installed enabling them to generate a third of their power consumption from renewable sources.

The packaging material for the tote is made from butter paper to reduce plastic waste ¬– this ensures the textiles are protected and that the packaging is also compostable.

About the designer

Kangan Arora is a textile designer specialising in print and pattern. Born in India and now based in London, her work explores bold colour, geometry, abstraction and playful pattern application with a specific interest in colour languages and processes. With a signature style that takes assimilated shapes and unexpected juxtapositions, she brings them to life through screen-printing, weave, digital applications, large scale installations and a range of other mediums. Kangan trained at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design where she is currently a Lecturer in Textile and Jewellery Design.

Delivery & returns

Delivery & returns

Delivery times

We aim to deliver stocked shop products within:

  • UK – 2-3 working days
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

For framed custom prints and rugs, we aim to deliver within:

  • UK – 1-2 weeks
  • International (excluding EU) – 2-4 weeks

Many of our neon lights are made in small batches, delivery is estimated at 4-6 weeks worldwide. Our Goldfinger x Tate furniture collection is made to order, with a production lead time of 12-14 weeks.

Please note that some items are dispatched separately if they are made to order (such as coffee, custom prints and custom print clothing, neon lights or furniture). This means that if you order these items alongside other shop products, they won’t all arrive together, and you’ll get several deliveries.

If the delivery time frame for each item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please get in touch and we’ll investigate for you.

Delivery costs

We currently offer free standard delivery on UK orders over £60. Our other delivery costs are as follows.

For orders under £60:

UK – £5 per order

Rest of world ((excluding EU) – £28 per order

From 13 December 2024, we will be temporarily pausing shipping to the European Union and Northern Ireland, to update our details to comply with new EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). We will restart shipping to the EU and NI as soon as possible, thank you for your patience.

Here’s more information on delivery.
