This piece is from a series of works on paper that Lubaina Himid made inspired by the sea. Ocean views are very often in Himid’s work, and in pieces like Tide Change
, the artist is ‘trying to find many different ways of showing water’. This piece in pastels captures the vitality and movement of the sea in motion.
