A special print collection of Mark Rothko’s ‘Seagram Murals’. Rothko was commissioned to paint a series of murals for the fashionable Four Seasons restaurant, in the Seagram Building on Park Avenue, New York. Excited by this prospect he hired out a new studio and constructed a scaffold to match the dimensions of the restaurant. However, upon finishing the Murals, Rothko recognised that the setting of the restaurant was not the right place for his work. Eventually he presented nine works of the series to the Tate Gallery, expressing his affection for England and British artists.
Archival quality, the works are giclée printed on Somerset enhanced 100% cotton rag paper with hand-finished edges. Printed in the UK.
Presented in a grey presentation box and wrapped in acid-free tissue.
This portfolio includes four prints, Black on Maroon 1958, Black on Maroon 1959, Red on Maroon 1959 and Black on Maroon 1958. Each print is 40 x 30 cm.

Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.

Our collection of wines is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
UK only – £20 per order

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints and pierced earrings.
