In response to Otobong Nkanga’s incredible exhibition at Tate St Ives, this catalogue has been created as a document of the development of the exhibition and a view into Nkanga’s creative process.
From Where I Stand is the first UK museum show of artist Otobong Nkanga, whose practice spans tapestry, drawing, photography, installation, video and performance. The exhibition, at Tate St Ives from 21 September 2019 – 5 January 2020, explores the politics of land and its relationship to the body, and histories of land acquisition and ownership.
Opening with one of Nkanga’s poems, the catalogue showcases Nkanga’s bodies of work, preparatory drawings and in-progress photographs, and includes an interview with the artist, offering further insights into her practice. The book also contains an extensive selection of Nkanga’s photographs, and a short fictional story by author Helon Habila, written in response to these images.

Our collection of wines is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints and pierced earrings.
