This painting was found at Arlington Court in Devon in 1949 after the property had been left to the National Trust, on top of a wardrobe in the housemaid’s pantry. It depicts Homer’s Cave of the Nymphs, with details from the Odyssey added. The figure in red is Odysseus, and Athene stands behind him.
William Blake (1757 – 1827) was an English poet and artist. Blake trained as an engraver and had a career in etching, engraving and illustration. His watercolours were exhibited at the Royal Academy, but from 1780 he railed against academic art, insisting instead on individual inspiration. Although he received little public recognition in his lifetime, he has since been hailed as one of Britain’s greatest artists.
All our exhibition prints measure 30 x 40 cm and include a white border with full artwork credit line.
Our exhibition prints are produced using 10 colour digital giclée printing processes on fine art paper. We work with only UK based PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified suppliers for all our print products.

Due to the nature of our Limited Edition artworks, Tate offers rates for packaging materials to sufficiently protect the works and a fully insured, door-to-door courier service, for both UK and international shipping.
Wine
Our collection of wines is only available for delivery in the UK. We currently offer free delivery on orders over £100, using a specialist white glove service within the M25 area.
UK only – £20 per order
Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

Refunds & returns
Please contact our customer service team within 45 days if you need to return anything from your order. We will be happy to offer you a full refund, replacement or exchange on any items excluding custom prints and pierced earrings.
