Date of work
The Young Contemporaries exhibition was staged by the Arts Council of Great Britain, and invited artists from art colleges around the UK to submit their work, which was then judged by a panel and selected for display. The exhibition in 1967 gained more publicity than previous years, as it was the first time it was held at the Tate Gallery (now Tate Britain). It then toured several art galleries around the UK.
